Little questions
How big is the finished kitten?
Size depends on your tension and hook. With a 2 mm hook, it stays small and dense. Stitch counts stay fixed, so gauge controls the final size.
Can I skip the puff stitch on round four?
You can substitute a single crochet there instead. The puff stitch just adds texture to that round of the hand. Skipping it keeps the stitch count the same.
How much stuffing do I need?
Fill firmly but not tight, especially in the legs. Round seven closes the leg, so stuff before that. A firm fill keeps the shape from sagging later.
Do the legs attach to the hands and body?
Both leg pieces and both hand pieces are made separately, each from their own set of rounds. I sew them on once all parts are finished. A sewing needle makes this step simple.
