About This Pattern
This little frog wears overalls and carries a star, sitting somewhere between toy and bag. The body is worked in rounds from a magic ring up through the head, with legs and arms shaped along the way. Yellow gives the mouth, white the eyes, pink the cheeks, and light blue the overalls, with green as the frog's main color throughout. Yes, the frog and overalls stand fine alone. The star is a small add-on, not load-bearing.
How much yarn do I need for the body?
Enough green yarn to work through the many rounds of the main body, plus two arms with their own rounds of shaping. Keep a spare skein nearby if your gauge runs loose.
Why does my mouth shape look uneven?
The mouth increases at the corners only, not evenly around. Slow down at each corner and count your stitches before moving on.
Can this be worn as a bag or is it just a toy?
The pattern is designed as a practical bag first, with the frog face, overalls, and star giving it a playful, toy-like look. The stuffed body and straps work well for either use.
